TAPLEJUNG: Two individuals are reported missing following a tractor accident that occurred in the Maiwakhola area of Dobhan Bazaar in the district. The incident took place when a tractor, traveling from Hangpang to Arun Vaneer Company, fell approximately 15 meters from a bridge and was subsequently swept away by the river.
A 14-year-old passenger, Samir Nalbo, managed to reach the local police office to report the accident. The tractor was later located about 20 meters downstream in the Maiwakhola river, but the driver, Sameer Baraili, and another passenger, Anil Nalbo, remain unaccounted for.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kamal Bajgain confirmed the ongoing search efforts.
The accident site is situated roughly 800 meters from the local police office.
