KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has expressed deep grief over the loss of life and physical property caused by continuous rainfall triggering floods, landslides, and road blockages across various parts of the country in recent days.

In a press release issued today by Niraj Acharya, Chief of the Central Publicity and Publication Department of UML, the party offered heartfelt tributes to all those who lost their lives in the natural disasters and extended profound condolences to the bereaved families.

The party also wished a speedy recovery to the injured. Recently, districts including Jajarkot, Rolpa, Bajura, and Kaski have suffered human casualties and material damage, while blockages along key roadways have significantly disrupted public movement.

Through the statement, UML urged the government to intensify efforts to search for missing individuals, carry out prompt rescue and relief operations for victims, and clear obstructed roads.

Furthermore, the party called upon its local committees and cadres to actively mobilize in coordination with local government units and security personnel to assist in rescue, relief, and road clearance efforts.
