GANDAKI:  The CPN (UML) has decided to recall ministers from the party in the Gandaki Province Government.

A meeting of the CPN UML parliamentary party in the Gandaki Province took a decision to this end, said CPN (UML) Gandaki’s deputy leader Lil Bahadur Thapa Magar.

Until the filing of this report, UML ministers were preparing to tender their resignation. “UML will initiate dialogue with other parties, including the Nepali Communist Party, on how to determine a future course of action in the new situation,” he said.

He added the power sharing between UML and NCP in other provinces has begun; the two parties will jointly take initiatives to form a government in Gandaki Province as well.

In the existing government led by the Nepali Congress, Govinda Bahadur Nepal (Physical Infrastructure, and Transport), Bhim Karki (Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives), Yashoda Rimal (Industry and Tourism) and Laxman Pandey (Health) are from the CPN (UML).

They assumed the responsibilities since the reshuffling of the province government on Baisakh 2 (April 15).
