RASUWA: Vehicle movement along the Pasang Lhamu Highway in parts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot will be halted for seven hours daily from Sept. 6, 2026, until further notice to facilitate road repairs and upgrading, according to the Rasuwa District Administration Office.

Traffic will be stopped in two shifts, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The road was damaged at several locations by flooding from the Lhende Khola near the Nepal-China border through the Bhote Koshi River.

Authorities said alternative routes have faced heavy traffic, stranded vehicles and landslides, prompting the temporary closures.

Traffic will be halted at Phamchet in Rasuwa and Bahunbesi and Chogate in Nuwakot.

The District Disaster Management Committee decided to manage traffic to speed up repairs and reopen the road as soon as possible. Authorities have urged travelers and drivers to follow the schedule and support the repair work.
