KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted that the weather will remain mostly clear across Nepal on Sunday.
Currently, the country is influenced by a western low-pressure system and monsoon winds. Skies are generally cloudy in the Himalayan region, while other parts of the country are experiencing partial cloud cover.
On Sunday, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces.
Similar weather conditions are likely in one or two locations within the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight and on Monday, partial cloudiness is expected in the hilly and mountainous areas, with chances of light rain and snowfall in a few locations.
The Terai region is expected to remain mostly clear, although fog is likely in some parts during the early morning hours.
