KATHMANDU: The influence of western winds is currently affecting parts of Nepal.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, this weather system has caused partial cloud cover in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, while the weather in the Terai region remains mostly clear.
In the coming period, partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in Madhesh province. The weather in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces is expected to remain mostly clear.
Meteorologists have forecast that one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may experience light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Additionally, there is a possibility of light snowfall in the high-altitude mountainous regions and specific hilly areas within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
