KATHMANDU: A 37-year-old woman has died after falling from a cliff in Gulmi district. The victim has been identified as Tara Basnet, according to the District Police Office, Gulmi.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Bishwokarma stated that the incident occurred while Basnet was traveling from Bhaadgaun in Resunga Municipality-3 towards Tamghas. Basnet, a permanent resident of Dhurkot Rural Municipality-6, was returning to her residence in Chhap Tola, Tamghas, from her maternal home in Bhaadgaun on Wednesday morning when she fell from the Dungdunge cliff.
The District Police Office confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
