SINDHUPALCHOK: Bahrabise Municipality in Sindhupalchok district has decided to provide Rs 115,000 in relief to each family affected by the recent Bhote Koshi River floods and natural disaster.
The 99th executive meeting of the municipality decided to release the financial assistance from its Disaster Management Fund to support rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations for affected citizens.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the sudden flooding in the Bhote Koshi River, the municipality emphasized the need to intensify rescue and relief efforts. Rescue operations, relief distribution, and search efforts for missing individuals remain ongoing.
The municipality has urged the central government and relevant agencies to ensure necessary coordination and collaboration. It noted that all levels and agencies of the state must play a key role in providing immediate relief as well as long-term rehabilitation for affected families. Bahrabise Municipality has previously conducted various relief and support programs for disaster victims in the region.
