KATHMANDU: Nirmala Sherpa, the deputy mayor of Bhojpur Municipality, has resigned from her position. Sherpa stated that she stepped down on moral grounds after being expelled from the CPN (UML), a party she was associated with, which revoked her ordinary membership.
Similarly, Nabin Pradhan, the ward chairman of Bhojpur Municipality-8, has also resigned from his post. Pradhan was also subjected to disciplinary action by the CPN (UML) for allegedly working against the interests of the party.
