KATHMANDU: Former president Bidya Devi Bhandari has taken the oath of office and secrecy as a senior leader of the CPN (UML). Party chairman KP Sharma Oli administered the oath to Bhandari during a standing committee meeting held on Thursday.
The decision to appoint Bhandari as a senior leader was made by the party’s central committee. The standing committee meeting is currently underway at the CPN (UML) central office in Chyasal.
The meeting is focused on discussing and making decisions regarding the agenda delegated to the secretariat by the third central committee meeting.
