KATHMANDU: Chitwan recorded the highest amount of rainfall in the country over the past 24 hours. According to the Madi Kalyanpur weather station, the region received 222.4 millimeters of rain.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division reported that heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred in several locations across Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Data recorded as of 6:39 a.m. on Sept. 27 shows that light to moderate rainfall has been observed in many parts of Koshi and Karnali provinces.
