KATHMANDU: The ‘Committee Report on the National Service Corps Bill, 2083’ was tabled at the House of Representatives meeting today. Hari Dhakal, chairman of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, presented the report before the House.
While presenting the document, Chairman Dhakal stated that the bill is expected to help promote patriotism, public service, and a sense of national unity among students. He further noted that the bill includes provisions that allow for the mobilization of any citizen for national service based on national requirements.
Prior to this, 13 lawmakers had registered 78 amendment proposals regarding the bill, which originally contained 30 sections. The committee unanimously passed the report after incorporating amendments to nine sections and revising one section of the proposed legislation.
