Congress convention: closed session to resume tomorrow morning

KATHMANDU: The third day of the closed session of the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress concluded today.

According to Suresh Raj Acharya, coordinator of the convention management committee, representatives held extensive discussions on several key reports presented during the session.

The discussions focused on the political proposal regarding national renaissance and prosperity presented by party president Gagan Kumar Thapa, and a contemporary proposal on the erosion of political culture and the responsibility of epochal transformation presented by vice president Bishwa Prakash Sharma. Additionally, the organizational report submitted by general secretary Gururaj Ghimire and the financial report presented by treasurer Umesh Shrestha were also deliberated upon. Representatives from all seven provinces, along with delegates from fraternal and sister organizations, participated in the deliberations.

The closed session is scheduled to resume tomorrow, Wednesday, at 10:30 am. It has been confirmed that party president Thapa will address the session at the start of the proceedings.
