KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has expressed grave concern over the growing political, economic, and social crises in the country.
He stated that the nation can no longer withstand instability and turmoil under any pretext.
Sharing his views via social media, Bhattarai highlighted that the country is heading toward a crisis due to increasing geopolitical maneuvers, internal conflicts within both ruling and opposition parties, and disarray in key state organs, including the judiciary, administration, and police.
Bhattarai noted that the country’s situation is becoming increasingly challenging due to the continuous decline of the economy, the rising risk of natural disasters, and the persistent migration of youth abroad.
He added that the growing sense of frustration within the public media sector and civil society serves as a serious indicator of the overall national situation.
Emphasizing that all sides must act responsibly and seriously in the current circumstances, he urged everyone to contribute positively from their respective fields. He stated, ‘If you can, make a positive contribution! If you cannot, do not do negative work!’
