KATHMANDU: The faction led by former Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed coordinators for five districts in Madhes Province to organize parallel conventions. The group has already appointed coordinators in 55 other districts across the country.
Former general secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has been designated as the convention organizer for the faction. Under his signature, the group appointed Surendra Yadav in Saptari, Santosh Kumar Chaudhary in Siraha, Komal Kanta Jha in Dhanusha, Rajesh Ray Yadav in Bara, and Bijay Karna in Parsa. The contact office confirmed that the appointment letters have been issued to the respective individuals.
The faction has also released its schedule for the 15th general convention. According to the announced timeline, ward-level conventions are set to begin on Oct. 1, with the main convention scheduled to take place from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9.
