Deuba faction leaders arrive at Sanepa for Nepali Congress meeting

KATHMANDU: Leaders from the faction led by Sher Bahadur Deuba have begun arriving at the Nepali Congress party office in Sanepa to attend the central working committee meeting. So far, 11 leaders, including Bal Krishna Khand, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, and Nain Singh Mahar, have reached the venue.

According to party leader Mahalaxmi Upadhyaya, a large number of leaders from the Deuba camp are expected to arrive today. The leaders are attending the central working committee meeting scheduled for Thursday following a decision by General Secretary Gagan Thapa to grant central members elected from the 14th general convention the same status as those from the special general convention.

Leader Ram Hari Khatiwada stated that 50 leaders are expected to reach Sanepa. Udaya Shumsher Rana and Yogendra Chaudhary are working to ensure the participation of the Deuba faction leaders in the meeting. Rana claimed that up to 80 leaders could participate in the gathering.
