KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress spokesperson Devraj Chalise has withdrawn his candidacy for the post of vice president at the party’s 15th General Convention. Election Committee member secretary Raju Katuwal confirmed that Chalise withdrew his nomination for the open vice president position.
Previously, Minendra Rijal had also withdrawn his candidacy for the same post. Following these withdrawals, the competition for the vice president position will now be contested by Dhanraj Gurung, Farmullah Mansur, Jeevan Pariyar, Binod Chaudhary, Deepak Giri, Surendra Pandey, Govinda Bhattarai, Madhu Acharya, Sita Gurung, Ranjit Karna, and Dr. Chandra Mohan Yadav.
