KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has been assigned the acting responsibilities for the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prime Minister Balen Shah designated Minister Shrestha to oversee both ministries in the absence of Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who are currently on foreign visits.
Finance Minister Wagle is visiting the United States at the invitation of the World Bank president. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Khanal is in Fiji to participate in the pre-COP leaders event. Minister Shrestha will manage the daily operations of both ministries during their absence.
