POKHARA: A flydubai aircraft has landed at Pokhara International Airport for the first time. The flight from Dubai International Airport arrived in Pokhara at 6:19 a.m. with 125 passengers on board. According to the airline, the passengers arrived in Nepal via Dubai from various international destinations. A crowd of local business people and residents gathered at the airport to welcome the arrival.
The aircraft is scheduled to depart for Dubai one hour after landing. A total of 153 passengers are set to fly out from Pokhara, including those traveling in business class. The aircraft has a total capacity of 166 seats, consisting of 10 business class seats and 156 economy class seats.
Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya described the arrival as a significant milestone for the city. The commencement of the service follows a long period of preparation by the airline to establish a regular flight schedule. Local tourism entrepreneurs have expressed optimism that the regular flight service will provide a major boost to the tourism sector in the region.
