KATHMANDU: Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and newly appointed European Union Ambassador to Nepal Charles Whiteley have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in areas including trade, investment, climate change, tourism and connectivity.
Ambassador Whiteley paid a courtesy call on Rai at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
During the meeting, Rai congratulated Whiteley on his appointment and wished him a fruitful tenure in Nepal.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to promote high-level exchanges, manage migration-related issues and strengthen people-to-people ties between Nepal and the European Union.
