BARDIYA: Police have arrested four individuals from different locations in the district for possession of brown sugar. The arrests were made on Sunday during separate operations.
Rahul Tharu, 24, and Ranjit Chaudhary, 25, both residents of Gulariya Municipality-7, were apprehended in Kothiyagaun. Police reported that 970 milligrams of a substance appearing to be brown sugar was seized from them.
In a separate incident, Simant Tharu, 21, of Bhogpur, was arrested at Bhansar Chowk in Rajapur Municipality-4 with 265 milligrams of illegal drugs. Additionally, police took a 17-year-old minor into custody in Bansgadhi Municipality-5 with 690 milligrams of drugs in his possession.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Resham Bohara stated that further investigation into all four cases is currently underway.
