KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has blacklisted 6 construction companies. The office issued a notice today confirming the action taken against the firms.
The companies were blacklisted following recommendations from various public entities. According to the notice, the firms failed to complete their assigned projects within the stipulated time, leading to penalties under sub-section (1) of section 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063.
The blacklisted construction firms are now prohibited from participating in any public procurement processes for a period ranging from 1 to 3 years.
