KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned until 11 am on Thursday.
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal announced the adjournment on Wednesday following the conclusion of general discussions on several bills.
During the session, the House approved motions to consider multiple bills submitted by various ministries. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle presented the Citizen Investment Trust (Third Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2026, both of which were accepted for consideration by the assembly.
Additionally, Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Environment Geeta Chaudhary introduced the Infectious Animal Disease (Control) Bill, 2026, which originated in the National Assembly. This motion was unanimously approved by the House.
Following the presentation of these proposals, lawmakers raised various questions regarding the bills, to which the respective ministers provided responses.
