KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an Indian national from Bhedasingh, Kathmandu, with 1.4 kilograms of illegal gold. According to SP Rameshwor Karki of the Valley Crime Investigation Office, the suspect has been identified as Manik Das.
Authorities also seized Rs 750,000 in cash from his possession during the operation. Police stated that Das had been operating a touch house in the Bhedasingh area. Further investigation into the source and destination of the confiscated gold is underway.
