KATHMANDU: Krishi Samagri Company Limited (KSCL) has issued an international tender for the procurement of 30,000 metric tonnes of urea fertilizer. The company announced the competitive bidding process on Thursday, inviting eligible global suppliers to participate in the supply of the 46-0-0 grade urea.
According to the tender requirements, the supplier is responsible for delivering the fertilizer to the company’s warehouses in Biratnagar, Birgunj, and Bhairahawa via the ports of Kolkata or Haldia. The delivery must be conducted on a DDP Nepal basis, with the supplier also required to manage insurance coverage until the goods reach their final destination.
The company has set a tender document fee of Rs 400,000, while the bid security amount is fixed at 20,000 US dollars. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled to take place at the company’s head office in Kuleshwor on Oct. 16, 2026, at 2 p.m.
Interested and qualified bidders must submit their proposals to the head office by 1 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2026. The bids will be opened at 2 p.m. on the same day. As per the prevailing Public Procurement Act and regulations, bidders are required to submit their technical and financial proposals in separate sealed envelopes.
