KATHMANDU: Sunil Kumar Yadav from Sabaila Municipality-12 in Dhanusha has been arrested for trading in cryptocurrency illegally.
According to the Central Police Newsroom, the 28-year-old Yadav has so far traded cryptocurrency worth Rs 2 billion 16 million 120 thousand 821.
A team dispatched from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him in coordination with the Dhanusha District Police, based on information that betting was taking place through various electronic mediums and online betting apps, involving large amount of illegal cryptocurrency transactions.
