KATHMANDU: The Manakamana cable car service remains operational and safe despite a landslide affecting the access road below the second bend. Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. issued a press statement confirming that there are no disruptions to the cable car operations.
Due to the landslide, vehicles are currently restricted from reaching the designated parking area. To accommodate visitors, the company has arranged alternative parking on the left side of the highway, approximately 70 metres towards Mugling for passengers arriving from the east. Visitors can park their vehicles at this alternative location and proceed to the cable car station on foot.
The management stated that road repair work will be accelerated once weather conditions become favourable. Despite the challenges on the access road, the company assured that pilgrims can continue to visit the temple and use the cable car service safely. The management has requested cooperation and understanding from all passengers and devotees during this period.
