KATHMANDU: The Mankamana cable car service, connecting Kurintar in Chitwan to the famous Mankamana temple in Gorkha, will remain closed for one day on Tuesday.
The operator, Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, announced that the suspension is due to regular maintenance work scheduled ahead of the upcoming festival season.
Ujjwal Sherchan, deputy general manager of the company, stated that the maintenance work will involve the inspection and repair of cable car towers, along with technical testing at both stations. The service is expected to resume regular operations on Wednesday once the maintenance is completed.
The company has already published a notice regarding the temporary closure on social media. Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience caused to passengers and pilgrims during the service interruption.
