KATHMANDU: Moderate rain and snowfall is likely at a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
In addition, light rainfall and snowfall is likely at one or two places in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in their hilly regions. Moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places in Madhesh Province and the Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
Generally cloudy conditions will prevail in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, as well as the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Partly cloudy conditions will prevail in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces and the Tarai regions of the country.
The meteorological analysis by the Division states that the entire region of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces, and the western parts of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces are under the influence of westerly winds. The entire region of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces, along with the remaining regions of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, are under the influence of monsoon winds, with a partial influence of westerly winds as well.
