KATHMANDU: The monsoon has completely exited from all parts of Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said on Wednesday. The seasonal weather system departed 12 days later than the average date of Oct. 2.
The withdrawal process began on Oct. 3. Initially, the monsoon retreated from Sudurpashchim, Karnali, and parts of Lumbini Province, as well as some areas of Gandaki Province. While the monsoon season has officially concluded, the weather bureau noted that the influence of local winds and westerly winds may still persist.
The department has advised the public and all relevant stakeholders to stay updated with the latest weather bulletins regarding potential changes in local conditions.
