KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist died following a collision with a truck on the Prithvi Highway at Buddhachowk in Pokhara. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. on Wednesday when a truck, registered as Na 5 Kha 8244, traveling from Prithvichowk towards Amarsinghchowk collided with a Pulsar motorcycle, numbered Ga 7 Pa 282, coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcycle rider, identified as 25-year-old Navaraj Darji from Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality-5 in Syangja, sustained injuries in the collision. He was transported to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment, where he subsequently died.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendrakumar Paswan, the information officer at the Kaski District Police Office, authorities have taken the truck and its driver, 36-year-old Khadak Bahadur Bishwokarma of Sindhuli Kamala-Mai Municipality-8, into custody. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
