KATHMANDU: Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire Janaki Finance Company Limited and Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited. Representatives from all three financial institutions signed the agreement.
The bank stated that the acquisition process was initiated to strengthen the financial sector, enhance institutional capacity, expand business operations, and provide more effective financial services to customers. Under the preliminary agreement, the institutions will now proceed with detailed studies, asset and liability valuations, and the determination of share exchange arrangements, along with other necessary procedures.
The proposed acquisition will be finalized only after receiving approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank and completing all required regulatory processes in accordance with prevailing laws. All three institutions have committed to conducting the process in a transparent and orderly manner, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while prioritizing the interests of all stakeholders.
