Ncell employees donate Rs 3.35 million for Bhotekoshi flood victims

KATHMANDU: Employees of Ncell Axiata Limited have donated Rs 3.35 million to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts for victims affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa. The funds, collected collectively by the employees, have been deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Dilli Ram Shrestha, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Services Officer at Ncell Axiata Limited, handed over the deposit receipt to Minister for Information and Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina. Nepal Telecommunications Authority Chairman Arjun Ghimire was also present at the handover ceremony.

The floods in the Bhotekoshi River have caused significant damage to life, property and physical infrastructure across various regions of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan. Relief efforts from government and non-government sectors continue to support those affected by the disaster. Previously, Ncell Axiata Limited had contributed Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in its institutional capacity.
