NEW YORK: The foreign ministers of Nepal and Uganda held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and his Ugandan counterpart, Jeje Odongo, met on Monday during the high-level session of the assembly.
During the meeting, Minister Odongo briefed Minister Khanal on the preparations and agenda for the upcoming ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). According to the secretariat of Minister Khanal, the two ministers held extensive discussions on recent activities of the movement, their shared roles within the platform, and strategies to make the upcoming ministerial meeting more effective.
