KATHMANDU: Nepal has announced its 15-member cricket squad for the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in 2026. The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) unveiled the final team on Sunday under the captaincy of Dipendra Singh Airee.
The squad features a mix of experienced and young players. The selected team includes captain Dipendra Singh Airee, Lokesh Bam, Kushal Bhurtel, Gulsan Kumar Jha, Sandeep Jora, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sher Malla, Kushal Malla, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Mohammad Arif Sheikh, Mohammad Aasif Sheikh, and Nandan Yadav. Key experienced players such as Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, and Rohit Kumar Paudel are included in the roster.
Stuart Law has been named the head coach, with Abdul Sattar serving as the team coach. The support staff includes team leader Binod Kumar Das, medical personnel Lokendra Kunwar, and technical staff member Raman Siwakoti. The tournament is considered a significant opportunity for captain Dipendra Singh Airee and the squad.
