KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has concluded its nine-month basic military training program across 22 different locations. A total of 2,968 new soldiers, including 2,502 men and 466 women, were formally inducted during special ceremonies held on Friday.
According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army, senior officers inspected the final passing-out parades held at the various training centers. During the events, trainees who displayed exceptional performance throughout the duration of the course were awarded prizes and honors.
The graduation ceremonies were attended by representatives of local government bodies, government officials, family members of the newly inducted soldiers, and members of the media, the directorate stated.
