KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom has appointed national cricket team opening batsman Kushal Bhurtel and actress Niti Shah as its brand ambassadors. The state-owned telecommunications company stated that the appointments aim to enhance its brand promotion, marketing efforts, and business expansion.
The company officially appointed Bhurtel on Aug. 5, 2026, and Shah on Sept. 10, 2026, during separate events. Managing Director Sangeeta Pahadi (Aryal) expressed confidence that the partnership with established figures from the sports and entertainment sectors will strengthen the company’s relationship with the younger generation and the general public. She noted that these collaborations are expected to boost the company’s corporate image and bring new energy to the promotion of its services.
Both brand ambassadors expressed pride and excitement in being associated with the country’s largest indigenous telecommunications provider. They thanked Nepal Telecom for the opportunity and committed to playing an active role in preserving the company’s reputation, promoting its services, and supporting marketing campaigns. In their new roles, they will be responsible for promoting the company’s various services to customers both within Nepal and abroad.
