KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has decided not to host its annual tea reception this year on the occasion of Kojagrat Purnima. Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal issued a press statement today confirming the cancellation.
The party stated that the event will not be held as the country is in mourning. The tea reception tradition was initiated by BP Koirala on Kojagrat Purnima in 2034 BS and has been observed annually by the party, except under special circumstances.
