KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has urged all its active members and party committees at all levels to participate enthusiastically in the ward-level conventions scheduled for Sept. 19 and 20. The conventions are part of the process leading up to the party’s 15th general convention, which is slated for Oct. 2 to 5.
The party’s central election committee stated that it has already deployed election officers to all 77 districts. These officers have completed necessary preparations, including consultations with local party officials and the appointment of polling officers, to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections.
The committee further cautioned members against believing in rumors or misleading information regarding the ward conventions. In a press statement, committee member-secretary Raju Katuwal confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to conduct the electoral process in an organized manner.
