KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a double-digit gain on Thursday, closing at 2629.81 points after an increase of 11.77 points.
The total turnover for the day reached Rs 5.44 billion, with 17.2 million shares traded. Market participation remained positive, as the share prices of 176 companies rose, while 95 companies saw a decline. The share prices of 7 companies remained unchanged.
Nepal Lube Oil led the gainers with a 12.47 percent increase in its share price. Other top performers included Sonapur Minerals, Kumari Sabal Yojana, Ghorahi Cement and CYC Nepal Laghubitta.
Shivam Cements topped the list in terms of transaction volume, recording a turnover of more than Rs 358.1 million. By the end of the trading session, the total market capitalization stood at Rs 4.523 trillion.
