KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded a gain of over 25 points for the second consecutive day. After rising by 27.94 points to close at 2,559.49 points in the previous session, the index climbed another 25.55 points on Monday to reach 2,585.04 points.
According to NEPSE, the total turnover for the day reached Rs 4.64 billion, with 10.66 million shares traded in the secondary market. While the mutual fund sub-index remained negative, all other 12 sub-indices ended the day in positive territory.
A total of 226 companies saw their share prices increase, while 47 companies recorded a decline. NRN Infrastructure and Development Company led the market in terms of turnover, with shares worth Rs 249.07 million traded during the session.
