NEPSE drops marginally with turnover of Rs 3.74 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a marginal decline in today’s trading session. According to the exchange, the benchmark index fell by 6.38 points to settle at 2,572.34 points.

The sensitive index, which tracks the shares of large companies, decreased by 0.63 points to reach 461.22 points. Similarly, the float index dropped by 0.26 points to 177.45, while the sensitive float index declined by 0.19 points to 155.65.

A total of 10,000,688 shares from various companies were traded today, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 3.74 billion. Market activity saw 13 sub-indices, with only one recording gains while the remaining 12 declined. Out of the total companies traded, 100 saw their share prices rise, 167 experienced a decrease, and 12 remained stable.

Investors in companies such as Ghaleemdi Hydropower, NIC Asia Balance Fund, and Ingwa Hydropower recorded gains during the session. Conversely, investors in Global IME Samunnat Yojana, SBL Debenture, and Mega Mutual Fund saw their holdings lose value.
