NEPSE falls by double digits on Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by double digits on Monday, declining 43.89 points to close at 2,513.42, according to the Nepal Stock Exchange.

The Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large companies, dropped 6.68 points to 444.43. The Float Index fell 3.02 points to 172.24, while the Sensitive Float Index declined 2.41 points to 149.77.

A total of 93,221,185 shares of various companies were traded today, with total turnover amounting to Rs 3.648 billion.

Of the 13 subgroups, only one recorded gains, while 12 declined. Share prices of 21 companies increased, 253 companies declined, and four remained unchanged.

According to NEPSE, investors in Upakar Laghubitta, Ghorahi Cement, and NIC Asia Debenture recorded gains, while investors in Mailung Khola Hydropower, Rasuwagadhi Hydropower, and MBL Equity Fund incurred losses.
