KATHMANDU: The Nepal stock market witnessed a decline as the Nepse index fell by 11.90 points to close at 2587.25 points. The market recorded a total turnover of Rs 4.29 billion during the trading session.
The daily transaction involved the exchange of 11.9 million shares. Market activity showed that the share prices of 61 companies increased, while 207 companies experienced a decline. The share prices of 11 companies remained stable. During the session, individual stocks saw fluctuations ranging from a 14.29 percent increase to an 8.55 percent decrease.
Regarding sector performance, all indices except for the mutual fund sector declined. The highest single-stock transaction recorded during the day reached Rs 260 million.
