KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index climbed 27.94 points to close at 2559.49 points today. The market recorded a total turnover of over Rs 4.36 billion during the session.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, more than 12 million shares were traded throughout the day. Market activity remained positive, with the share prices of 237 companies increasing, while 31 companies saw a decline. The share prices of 9 companies remained unchanged.
Upakar Laghubitta and Abhiyan Laghubitta led the gains, with their share prices rising by 10.53 percent and 10.09 percent, respectively. Other stocks also recorded gains of up to 9.54 percent. This recovery follows a session on Friday, where the market had experienced a decline of up to 5.71 percent.
Liberty Energy Company recorded the highest transaction volume of the day, with Rs 360 million worth of shares traded. Other companies saw transaction volumes reaching up to Rs 180 million, as reported by the exchange.
