KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, the benchmark indicator of share trading in Nepal’s securities market, rose by double digits today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index gained 15.44 points to close at 2,538.11.
The Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large-cap companies, increased by 3.02 points to 449.18. Similarly, the Float Index rose by 1.22 points to 174.19, while the Sensitive Float Index gained 1.17 points to reach 151.61.
A total of 7,268,202 shares of various companies were traded today, with transactions worth Rs 2.94 billion (Rs 2,942,781,826).
Of the 13 subgroups, 11 posted gains, while two declined. Shares of 193 companies advanced, while 75 companies recorded losses. The share prices of 10 companies remained unchanged.
According to NEPSE, investors in Upakar Laghubitta, Upper Mailung Khola Hydropower, and Atmanirbhar Laghubitta were among the top gainers today.
Meanwhile, investors in NMB Energy Bond, RBB Mutual Fund, and Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower were among those recording losses.
