KATHMANDU: Nepal’s stock market benchmark, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, edged up by 4.66 points on Thursday to close at 2,542.77.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large companies, increased by 0.31 points to 449.50. Similarly, the Float Index rose by 0.15 points to 174.35, while the Sensitive Float Index gained 0.12 points to 151.73.
A total of 121,637,63 shares of various companies were traded today, with the total transaction value standing at Rs. 3.465 billion.
Of the 13 subgroups, nine recorded gains while four declined. Shares of 145 companies increased, while 123 companies saw their prices fall. The share prices of 10 companies remained unchanged.
According to NEPSE, investors in Win Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, Chirkhwa Hydropower Company, and Asha Laghubitta Company recorded gains. Meanwhile, investors in Pure Energy, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Central Finance Company incurred losses.
