KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 153.81, while the selling rate is Rs 154.41.
The European euro is valued at Rs 173.09 for buying and Rs 173.77 for selling. The UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 203.68 and a selling rate of Rs 204.48. For the Australian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 106.97 and the selling rate is Rs 107.39, while the Canadian dollar is set at Rs 107.93 for buying and Rs 108.35 for selling.
The central bank also released rates for other currencies. The Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 42.22 for buying and Rs 42.38 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.97 and a selling rate of Rs 41.13. Additionally, the Indian rupee (100 units) is set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ from these figures. The updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
