KATHMANDU: Ganesh Parajuli, the chairperson of the parliamentary special committee formed to study the Bhotekoshi floods and related issues, has taken the oath of office and secrecy. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal administered the oath to Parajuli on Wednesday.
The House of Representatives had previously established the ‘Special Parliamentary Committee on the Impact of Climate Change in the Himalayas, Climate Justice, and Bhotekoshi-Trishuli Disasters.’ The committee includes members of parliament from all political parties represented in the legislature. The committee is tasked with conducting a study on the Bhotekoshi floods and other associated matters.
