KATHMANDU: Patan High Court has announced it will continue providing select essential services during the upcoming Dashain holidays. Despite the court remaining closed from Ghatasthapana to Kojagrat Purnima, specific judicial functions will remain operational.
According to the court administration, services will include proceedings under the commercial bench, issuing arrest warrants as per the Criminal Procedure Code, 2074, and processing habeas corpus petitions under the Administration of Justice Act, 2073. These arrangements follow the Court Management Procedure, 2075, and circulars issued by the Supreme Court.
The court will remain open for these specific tasks from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on working days during the holiday period. However, the court will remain fully closed on Ghatasthapana, Bijaya Dashami, Saturdays, and Kojagrat Purnima. The holiday period for the court is scheduled from Oct. 11 to Oct. 23.
